Posted 10 months ago i am waiting for the axe to fall, but it looks like early steps from the government and a lot of of caution is reducing the effects of the so-called recession.. what are you guys seeing? |

| Posted 10 months ago I'm not feeling the recession yet...but there are many bad signs. I think Bush's economic stimulus plan is politically driven and not really going to impact the economy. |

| Posted 10 months ago Today's rate cut of 50bp and Bernanke's statement that "financial markets remain under considerable stress" do indicate fears of recession, if not an actual one. |

| Posted 5 months ago It's certainly messing up my travel plans, when the US dollar is getting lower and lower. How am I supposed to go shopping?!?! :P
Seriously though, I've known at least two people so far to get laid off. One was in a law office, the other in a medical office- the two most "recession proof" professions (imo). Weird times. |

| Posted 4 months ago YES! I work in finance and it is effecting my job everyday. I have friends who have gotten laid off and I am frankly terrified that I'll be next if it gets any worse. |
