Are more Indian women marrying non-Indians?

Posted about 1 year ago I am single, and have found recently that a large number of Indian women I know are choosing non-desis over desis. why? |

Posted about 1 year ago I don't know if they are actively looking to marry non-Indians, but I do know many Indian women that are now turned off by the hypocrisy of Indian men that appear to be progressive on the surface, but still harbor some pretty scary biases about what women should and shouldn't do. And what's worse, they seem to be all about double standards: what they would take from an American or European women is very different from what they would take from Indian women..

Posted about 1 year ago I think it might be just a natural result of moving into very diverse communities in the US and other places... seems natural that Indians will meet non-indians whose company they enjoy.

Posted about 1 year ago I have never dated an Indian man, though I wouldn't be opposed. My last boyfriend, however, was blond and blue eyed!

Posted about 1 year ago I find myself dating both Indian and non-Indian men. Probably 50/50. I think its totally ok to date outside your race, but it is a little strange and kind of sad when people aren't at all attracted to members of their own race.

Posted 11 months ago I have a guy friend who just married a non-Indian. The family wasn't too keen on it at first, but after they dated for about 5 years, the family got used to her and really fell in love with her, too. That's really what it's all about.
