What will cricket be 20 years from now?

Posted about 1 year ago Given how much busier everyone seems to get and the desire to draw larger and larger crowds, I bet the test match will disappear and we will primarily see 1 dayers and 20/20 matches. 20/20 matches may even give baseball a run for its money in the US. |

But if you really think about how US baseball works, about half of the fan base and complete craze over the sport is driven by a few rivalries (right now it's clearly Yankees vs. Red Sox). That's the hardest thing for professional sports industries to achieve; I wonder how easily cricket could build rivalries in a country that already has so many sports well established? |

| Posted about 1 year ago I agree with the rivalries point.... but I believe that 20/20 cricket is far more entertaining than baseball and should appeal to the same fan base i.e. everything baseball fans like about baseball, they should love about cricket |
