I worked for Apple both as a Campus Rep and spent a summer building/training for a new store opening on Lincoln Road, Miami Beach. Both positions were a blast. Working for Apple corporate, however, is COMPLETELY different from working retail. Retail becomes a dead-end really quickly. For the revenue that most retail workers bring in, the compensation is incredibly underestimated. It is a fun job though and relatively low-stress. Doing student marketing as a Campus Rep, on the other hand, is probably the greatest college job you could ever have. You have the freedom to assess your campus' potential relationship with Apple and become the Apple kid on campus. The compensation for a college job is decent, (with extra perks) and is a hot topic on a resume.
Get past any preconceived notions you have about the company. Apple is, at the end of the day, a large corporation.
